The regional airport Samedan prepares itself for the requirements of the future. In several stages, the existing buildings will be replaced and the further infrastructure will be expanded as needed. For this purpose, a qualified jury has selected a winning project, which is now being further developed into a construction project.

Bern / FOCA, 13.09.2019 - On its meeting on 13 September 2019, the Federal Council adopted the object sheet of the Sectoral Aviation Infrastructure Plan (SAIP) for Samedan regional airport. This will replace the object sheet from 2002 and set the spatial planning framework for the long-term development of the airport. As a first step, the introduction of flight operations under instrument flight rules (IFR) is planned for December 2019. The necessary adjustment of the operating regulations is planned to be approved by the FOCA in the next few days. For further information:

The completely restored Beech 18, which is still airworthy in Switzerland, recently visited Engadin Airport.The HB-GAC, built in 1945, is currently experiencing its second spring.
